The 3 beeps indicate that the doors are locked. Make sure vehicle is in park and you unlock the doors, then hit the lift gate button. Problem resolved , it was the power liftgate module issue. Manually push the latch to "close" position. The car won't know the difference. Remember to unlatch it after unloading...
